Argentinian Precious Animals

Students in Argentina are learning the meaning of HABITAT .
They agree on the fact that a HABITAT is like a home for animals. There they can find food, water and a shelter.
Kids make gropus of 4 , they read the word and draw approppiate animals in each habitat

Today a new friend arrived to Classroom 1 . It is an alligator and its name is Robert, but the kids  call it Bobby, Bobby will visit the kids´houses.

Alligators are a native animal from Argentina, Alligators and crocodiles are reptiles. This means they are cold-blooded and have to regulate their body temperature with their surroundings. Alligators do this by cooling off in the shade or the water and warming up in the sun. Alligators and crocodiles, like most reptiles, also lay eggs and their skin is covered with hard, dry scales.

Do you know what is the difference between an alligator and a crocodile?

Can you find out?
